The first penalty I didn't like, it looked like a dive to me and having Casillas stop it was justice. The second one was not only deserved, but Hierro should've been red-carded for sheer bone-headed stupidity.

I mean, if you're going to foul someone, foul them! But taking an oponents jersey and pulling it up over their head, on a setpiece inside the box no less, is just plain stupid.

>p.s. now... I need a second opinion on that second penalty called against Spain... (since I may have a bias opinion as to whether it was really a penalty --see above -g)... so anyone have one ?

No question about it! Yes, there is always this pull and push game going on. BUT Hierro went over the line, WAY over the line...he almost took his shirt off for god's sakes. He probably had a warning during the game, even without one, the ref did not hesitate....this was a PK call instead of the Agoos PK he was callled for<g>

I just realized Spain was playing with 10 men in OT (I saw it on Univision), in that case I was a bit harsh on them, I understand how they played for the PKs in OT, but playing for the 1-0 lead in regular time was criminal IMHO.

xyz, I don't make bets but this Spain team has as much chance to win the WC as I do have in calling a game in it<g>
