And if you look at the gold picture, the need for certain Big Men On Campus, to purchase the shiny metal cheaper than it is now, causing it to spike again, I can't believe that the optimal time to (re)buy gold is quite yet.

It may be hard, as a friend advised, to outmanipulate the manipulators. But it is not impossible. For one or two days this week, an equities rally could cause a gold plummet. I'm looking for that headfake to add gold, well above 10%.
