Hi Al

Technically your right. I based my pick on more fundamental factors and also the deal to amalgamate with Echo Bay and TVX. The market does not like this deal having made comments in the week-end papers that Kinross paid too much. Also there is a lot of arbitraging going on and that means Kinross is being shorted. Gold is consolidating in my opinion and was poised to go to the mid $315 area before the latest bombing in Pakistan supported it Friday. Still it gave up its gains late Friday and is weak in Asian trading right now.

Gold stocks tend to overshoot on the upside and the downside. Gold stocks are presently behaving much worse than a $319 price would suggest.
