Had this going through my head on a long long drive. Thought I would share.

O Mistress mine, where are you roaming?
O, stay and hear; your true love's coming,
That can sing both high and low:
Trip no further, pretty sweeting;
Journeys end in lovers meeting,
Every wise man's son doth know.

What is love? 'Tis not hereafter;
Present mirth hath present laughter;
What's to come is still unsure:
In delay there lies not plenty;
Then, come kiss me, sweet and twenty,
Youth's a stuff will not endure.

- William Shakespeare

Cats give lots of people the heebie jeebies

It is all in the eyes. I find cat's eyes to be very feral. They give me the feeling that the cat would be happy to tear me to shreds if it could, just like their cousins the tigers would.

Dogs' eyes are an entirely different matter. Very expressive, very open, very animated, very warm, clearly filled with love for their human companions.

er, I should say, most dogs. Not those ones in San Francisco.
