Albelda out for Spain, Raul doubtful

SUWON, South Korea (Reuters) - David Albelda will miss Spain's World Cup quarter-final against Italy or South Korea, while Raul is doubtful after both were injured in the penalty shoot-out victory over Ireland.

Raul will be a huge worry for coach Jose Antonio Camacho after he was forced out in the second half of normal time, apparently suffering from a groin problem.

Midfielder Albelda was unable to come out for extra-time after he aggravated his long-standing groin injury.

"We may be able to count on Raul for the next match but Albelda is out," Camacho told Spanish television at pitchside after his side's heartstopping win over Ireland.

A spokeswoman for Spain's football federation later said Albelda would undergo tests on his injury at a hospital in Seoul before returning to the squad's training base in Ulsan.
