Limtex, I don't short, and I'm not a doomsayer. Even if I were, my point stands, i.e., to the extent possible, we should keep political discussions "off thread" in order to avoid strangling one another.

Actually, Limtex, within a week of an invasion of Iraq, we have a good chance of putting in a major market bottom, though, personally, I think we have no business invading Iraq until they give us a real strong causus belli to do so.

<OT> Attacking Iraq will likely be seen as a positive in the fight against terrorism and would likely cause the market to react bullishly like the phlethora of "bin Laden is captured" rumors. IMHO.
