OK. At least I understand some of the numbers behind part of your statement.

I don't agree with the numbers but see no value to further posting. I do, however, appreciate the concern. I believe I expressed a similar position with my last post to Dan.

The basic question is... are there products and markets with which Intel can realize the benefits of its capital investments. I think the answer is yes but that the returns will likely not be as nice as they have been historically. Intel as a stock went rapidly from undervalued to overvalued, IMHO, perhaps in large part due to .com and comm excess. My familiarity with Intel is limited to its CPU and related business so I may not be appropriately considering its other businesses. But I do still like my Intel cameras (yes, I have two of them and they have been a great value even after I bought a Canon A20).

AMD also has the same fundamental question but here there is more concern over product than market due its much smaller share of the CPU market and the high fixed costs of being in the CPU business, particularly with a gorilla. JMHO.
