And how many times did they lower the bar on the spec to have 1x qualify? No, I'm sorry, but 1x will not be able to carry streamed A/V; if that wasn't a basic requirement of 3g, it should have been. As it is, it'll have trouble doing what a blackberry can do... What a joke!

Next generation scam - unfortunately, they built something nobody will come for; neither consumers, nor investors. The greater fool has left the building!

edit: the original spec staked out a minimum of 384Kbs rising to 2Mbs as the systems evolved. Does 1x even produce 1/10th the throughput of the original spec's minimum capacity?! Just wondering...

No, Jon, 1x DO is 3G but 1x xrtt is not.

No big deal, except to some who go bananas when they hear the claim that 1x is 3g without stopping to think that GPRSux.
