you not thinking abotu this right... gold down is a GOOD sign.. means stocks are going down.... gold rallies when stocks bounce.. when stocks tank, gold and gold shares tank... that's the way it works

The strikes were expected to put pressure on the government after Sunday's legislative election. The moderate right, led by supporters of President Jacques Chirac, won an overwhelming majority in the new National Assembly, according to exit polls. On Monday, public transport workers from the Communist-backed CGT union were to walk off the job in cities such as Paris, Marseille and Montpellier to press demands on salaries and retirement. But the movement was expected to have little impact on traffic. Some Air France personnel were also expected to strike. Also on Monday, pediatricians were expected to walk off the job to press for higher fees - $28.4 per consultation compared to $21.6 currently. French civil aviation authorities said they expected "major disturbances" in French air travel on Wednesday because of a protest by air traffic controllers over plans to reform European airspace. Similar movements were expected in Italy, Portugal and Greece. Starting Friday, emergency room doctors were expected to limit their workweek to 48 hours, down from 70, in an effort to lobby for less strenuous hours.
