Not sure I'm the one who just "came out of the woodwork" on the topic of real estate, but if you think it's "so complicated for the little guy", maybe you need to hire some good advice from a CPA or another type of financial advisor before you give up trying to understand the financial ins and outs of mortgages and real estate and how they fit into your financial planning and retirement portfolio. And by the way, I don't notice much "greed and corruption" on this thread---where, exactly, is it, in your view? The only thing I see cropping up here and there is some lack of understanding or education (such as in your post), which is easily corrected if you are willing to spend the time doing a little research on your own and stop trying to "trust" someone else.
