There is a HUGE difference between "a school run by ultra-right-wing Islamic fundamentalists who preach love for Islam and hate for America?" in the Netherlands and some poor black kid stuck in a shitty school getting sprung out of there and going to a "religious based" school. What I really don't think you're getting your hands around is the ENORMOUS waste of human life that is going on by allowing such squalor to continue in innercity public schools. Fine minds are being flushed down the friggin toilet before they ever have a chance and I contend it is because of the present structures concern for it's self and "screw the kids" attitude. The beaurocrats use these children as props and it really pisses me off.
