When the Federal Building was renovated in 1992-1993, they built a very nice time capsule in the lobby. It's unique among the capsules I know of in that you can turn on a light and look through a window at the stuff inside. It's worth a gander if you ever visit again. There are some lock-boxes inside that will be opened in 100 years. I have an essay in one, along with a description of what I do.

The Federal Building also has a BIA museum with some neat artifacts right next to the time capsule.

Tlingit art is superior, in my view. It has an indescribable power that transends its rustic appearance.
