All I'm saying is such authority further creates an all-powerful central government, beloved by fascists, and supposedly hated by both parties, who agree to these measures nonetheless.

Even asking for such authorities is a clue to what the strategy of this administration is.

Clinton made his own strides towards totalitarianism, this administration is taking it at a gallup.

Sure, such people "disappear" or are secretly held now, including a thousand or so held as terrorists, with no charges, no names released, no evidence made public, and no oversight. Unlikely as it may seem they could even be killed or already be dead, and there would be no accountability. As we are seeing, these pick-ups with secret evidence now include American citizens.

The point isn't that there are bad guys that need to be captured and interrogated, it's the emergence of an all-powerful central and secret government, which is a virtual guarantee of totalitarianist-type abuses.
