OT - they do play extra time to coax a "golden goal". First one to score wins. Only after 30 mins of that, it goes to penalties.

If they played more after 30 mins then they are too knackered for the next game a few days later.

You tried running around in a football game for 90 mins + 30 mins extra? It's not like baseball or American football where you get lots of chances to stand around having a rest.

Congrats to USA for winning today!

Agree 100%. Its an awful way to decide a match, a weak team can play for a draw then hope to win on penalty's.
