Hi Robert,

Looking at this option montage, XLNX needs to be under $30 to kill all the Calls:

finance.yahoo.com

$30 would also kill some Puts, but not the $35's. The Calls outnumber the Puts, thus more weight toward killing the Calls. What are you seeing here?

8K puts is not massive.

I think you need to see 20K options at a strike before there is any correlation to max pain other than the overall direction of the market.
