The cycle has to end. The only way for the Dow to continue to rise is for buying in standard earnings equities to to continue the way it was in dotcoms and other blowouts. This is impossible. The Dow cannot rise in a steady state holding market. If liquidation takes place it will fall. "Manipulation" can only try to hold people into the market, not selling. This cannot go on for long. The manipulation you speak about is really funds trying to hold their value in the equities they dominate. This is now a major partion of the market. EC<:-}
