I went to collect up the girls from college. We had a wonderful trip, and it's great to have them home, although the house is a shambles with unpacked boxes and bags everywhere. At least I get to escape to the office this morning and leave them to deal with the mess. <bg> I love Adam Bede. Or, I probably should say, loved. I read it several times in the old days (pre-marriage and children days when I had time to read!), but don't remember it that well. I am gifted wth a poor memory for books and movies, which means that I have the delight of coming to them again and again almost fresh. When I get retired I'm looking forward to returning to a life where I read for recreation for hours at a time. If you want great car listening, there is a wonderful tape out of Great Expectations.
