I think you are BOTH off base.

While Ken may be overstating his case, it is clear that each of the offenders he has cited has failed to exercise his Constitutionally guaranteed right to comment with the requisite responsibility such rights entail. Daschle's comments following the whole "Bush knew" flap were totally out of line and inappropriate for someone in his leadership position. I have yet to see him offer an apology for his partisan attack on the President in a time of national crisis.

Ken may be stretching his analysis a bit, but it isn't by much....

In some of their cases the motivation may be a pure greed for power. In some cases it may be hate for the America they grew up in (you will find an element if that in ALL of them). Unlike the lefties on this thread, the argument for an abject ignorance can't be applied to any of them. They are an intelligent and shrewd enemy.

But this is now war, and treason is treason. If we do not defeat them, we cannot beat the Islamic world in the decades-long struggle to come.

It's that simple...
