I tried to read Great Expectations in print several times, and was never able to get more than well started on it. But on tape, I found it delightful.

I have never really liked Dickens that much in print, and have trouble understanding how people do. I think it probably helped him a lot that most of his books were serialized, so people read them in small chunks, not all at once.

Been a long time since I read The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, probably over 40 years, but I recall enjoying it, though I certainly couldn't hold an intelligent discussion about it today.
