They design (fabless) radio frequency chips for (especially) wireless applications. I just discovered the company in the past couple weeks, so I'm not completely up on them yet.

Their accelerating growth rate is simply astonishing given the slowdown in wireless spending. 30% sequential growth is awesome under any economic conditions.

Cymer makes very precise (eximer) lasers for chip-making photolithrography. They are a supplier to the Chip capital equipment companies.

6/3/2002 Barrons :Edelstone named Silicon Laboratories his top pick, noting that the company is showing 15% to 25% sequential quarterly growth and is on track for a tenfold increase in revenue over the next five years. The Austin, Texas, company makes mixed-signal chips for wireless, wireline and optical communications devices.
