but I learned that he had gone to Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa to do a little golfing, but didn't bother to play. Said he was treated "inhospitably."

That makes me so angry. There's not much that makes me angry, but that sort of thing sure does.

What kind of rubes would sully the reputation of their town by snubbing Marsalis? It is nice, though, that Tulsa brought in the Lincoln Center crew. I used to wander around Lincoln Center about this time of year with my wife and child, listening to free music while people danced under the stars......
