It's unbelievable what the Bush types have been able to do in framing and controlling the debate, creating strawmen "liberals" as enemies, as cover while taking away all of the rights and tax money conservatives were concerned about so-called liberals doing in the first place. I keep saying, compare what they say with what they actually do. The difference is staggering. It isn't publicized anywhere, but we are now $350 Billion in the red in the federal budget just in the last 18 months, compared to a surplus when Bush took office. It's all conveniently blamed on (a)recession (and yet supposedly this recession is "over"), or (b) terrorism, although the expenses haven't even come due yet, and the pork barrels are rolling out dollars for things having absolutely nothing to do with terrorism. Congress is supposed to be looking out for American interests and protect against an over-powerful Executive Branch, but is failing miserably. $2.3 Trillion was discovered missing at DOD, and casually announced without any investigation at all, since everyone's arse is on the line. Except, of course, the taxpayer-patsies who get lied to and pay for everyone's party there in the Beltway. We citizens are on our own. The government growth cannot be self-controlled at this point, and it is not interested in our domestic protection in the least, only profit-making foreign adventures. Like Flight 93 the only protection will be alert, prepared citizens, not government. It's getting close to time to make citizen's arrests of most of Congress and most of the administration for fraud, throw them out and establish new elections.
