Raising taxes is not the only solution to reducing debt.

And, debt is not necessarily a bad thing.

And, maybe you would care to explain why this isn't advocating raising taxes:

We are making the same destructive choices now: ... refusing to raise taxes temporarily to pay for new 'war' spending
