<<My point is that we are on the slippery slope toward totalitarianism in the country>>

That has been the goal of your left wing pals since the 60's. You should decide to join the fight in stopping them...

well it's good to see ray retard ray giving more examples of his limited comprehension of the events of the past.

Well we heard ray retard ray's analysis of the tragic events at Kent State. The idiot actually thinks this was a planned attack. What a fool. Some scared or possibly clumsy National Guardsmen ended up killing innocent people. A sad tragedy, but to elevate this to a conspiracy is lefty loon time. It's also a disgusting slander of good people who have been forced to live their life knowing they killed their fellow Americans.

An examination of the forensics and the statement of those who were their show the danger of accidents increase when poorly trained folks are confronted with fear and threats.

I have witnessed first hand anti war protests and see how scumbags provoke authorities with deadly rock and bottle throwing and foolish innocent bystander get injured when the police have to react in self preservation. The foolish bystanders don't have a clue as to the danger and think the rocks and bottles are funny.

Then they are all victims of police brutality. What a joke, a sad joke.

<<Unsurprisingly, we disagree. I remember the police massacre of innocent First Amendment protestors at Kent State.
Perhaps you think it's OK for totalitarian police forces to shoot innocent citizens. If so, I'm terribly disappointed in your warped sense of values.>>

Kent State was about Vietnam not the First Amendment. And it was a bunch of scared 18 year old National Guardsmen that opened fire when hit by rocks. No order was given to shoot. It was something that got way out of hand on it's own.

Dear Ray: I was in the Kent State area the day of the incident. It was nothing like you say. A number of inexperienced Nat'l Guardsman were faced by a large number of students. The students were very rowdy, hurling rocks, bottles and all kinds of things, plus screaming their heads off. The Guardsmen kept backing off and up a hill but the students kept after them. Suddenly a loud "BANG" occurred (no one knows to this day what it was or who fired if in fact it was a shot) and the Guardsmen thought they were being shot at and opened fire. It was all a huge mistake, but I can ASSURE YOU it was the STUDENTS not the Guardsmen who instigated the event, sadly some of the students injured or killed were merely passerbyers and not involved in the incident. So far as I am concerned, all the students in the RIOT should have had their pants pulled down and given the licking they deserved. IN PUBLIC. I was DISGUSTED with them. JDN
