I don't agree that he was all that bearish on Friday. None of them are because the market has forced them to get more and more long over their better judgement. Since Cashin is a floor trader he probably is 20% long and 80% cash with no shorts held over night. What seems clear to me in his demeanor is the expectation that shorts are going to be burned big time. That doesn't necessarily happen by fireworks. It can happen far worse by the way the market acted today. That is, no clear indication that we're headed up, but also, no pullback either.
