I agree with your analysis regarding the charges.

And I especially highlight your use of the term "denial."

I think the denial goes deeper than whether A@P is responsible or guilty of anything that's been charged. I think the shortster affiliates are still in denial that many of their shorting techniques actually did harm "mom and pop" investors.

Many of 'em have a Saddam Hussein-type attitude. Hussein lost the war, much of his army, control over some of his territory and many of his people were killed. But he still gloats over having shot down an American airplane.

So, yeah, the shorties may gloat that they've taken down a scam corp here or there, but they're in denial that many innocent folk unnecessarily got clobbered as a result of the tactics implemented in the process.

The question I have to keep coming back to when you claim the government has a really strong case is "If it's so strong, why did they play the 9/11 card?"

Or does the government really think that assertion has something to it?

IMO, the 9/11 bit hurt the prosecution's credibility quite a bit. And the revelation that two of the people involved were possible childhood friends, one of whom was loaning money to the other, gives me further doubts.

>>> "you are either in fantasyland or denial"...

That or a very good friend returning past favors and actively lobbying....

Unfortunately, it's unethical, in my view, for a SI Admin to become friendly with any poster he's paid to IMPARTIALLY regulate...

It's like the Auditors of Enron becoming pals with Enron Brass: it eventually leads to mayhem...

JMHO, F. Goelo + + +

Dallas, 2 years, starts with a P, potentially damagingin information. I'm going thru my Quicken records looking for this company's name.

Play by Play? that one's now out of business and I shorted it nearly 3 years ago.

Maybe I never shorted the stock you are referring to.

I name my stocks by symbol, so can you tell me if the ticker also starts with a P?
