<<or 30 seconds after the buy we get hit with a terrorist act....signals go out the window? >>

If you assume that a big-time trading signal comes along 1 out of 100 trading days, and a big-time terrorist event happens one out of every 250 trading days, simple statistics shows that the 2 will coincide every (.01)*(.004) trading days, or .00004. One out of every 25000 trading days will a big-time trading signal day coincide with a big terrorist event. Roughly once per 100 years.

You are just arguing with general statements. If you can refute my point about successfully trading on extreme technical signals, please do so. Otherwise you are just wasting our time. I suspect just to get a "rise" out of people.

OT With the addition of Steve Warkentin, my "Ignore" list climbs back to a double top at its all time high of 30. (Perhaps I should say 29 though, because at least one Ignoramous is in there twice, under different names.)
