PARIS, June 18 (Reuters) - France's 2002 public deficit will be over two percent of gross domestic product and could reach 2.5 percent, a government source said on Tuesday.

The new centre-right government of Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin will examine on June 27 the results of an audit of public finances it ordered when it took office in early May, the source said.
