Me too. I've never had any options, and I've spent 22 years in my current job. As you said, I agreed to work for my salary.

If employees need to become millionaires, they shouldn't be working in the biotech industry under current conditions. How about, results first - compensation after?

Very nice gig. Give yourself huge options, tell analysts you expect $2 billion in revenue in just a few years, downplay FDA risks, then sell a chunk when your stock is inflated. When the fun stops, just reprice options and start over again . . .
