My son was in the pinewood Derby as a cub scout. There was a tremendous variance in quality. I don't think the variance was entirely up to the boys. Although I am sure some of the entries were done by the boys themselves.

Thank you for your attendance and support. I would have needed a base ball bat to get my car to the end of the track back in 1959. My dad bought the materials and I did the rest. I thought it was kind of an ugly car when I finished it though. That gray color was all I could find in the garage. It amazed me how some of the other 8 year olds at our local competition seemed to have knowledge of aerospace engineering or something. You must be pretty old by now.
