King Arthur flour (my wife prefers it to other flour available in US), water, salt, yeast. Mix by hand and gently fold dough into itself. Allow to rise, fold dough into itself and flip over into oiled baking pan, and allow dough to rise again. Bake at 470F approximately 1/2 hr (until golden brown).

PS I like to butter the top and bake it in a couple of minutes.

PPS The machine mixer does not allow the dough to relax well. This is the most essential element to real bread. Most people work their dough too much and make the bread tough. Now the secret to my wifes bread is out! ;-)
