I think they are part of the conspiracy to defraud America out of our Constitution. I mean, think about it. First Clinton gives away all out nuclear secrets to the Chinese. Then when he gets caught, he just blames the first Chinese he sees, and then when there isn't enough evidence to convict the Chinese dude, he blames the FBI for racial profiling. And so, the FBI becomes crippled and the Chinese get our nuclear secrets. And next thing you know, without an FBI, well... -- Political Correctness And The War On Terrorism By Reed Irvine and Cliff Kincaid June 18, 2002 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Details continue to emerge about the FBI’s failure to heed warnings of a terrorist attack on America. Many of its mistakes seem to stem from the corrosive effects of political correctness. With all the zeal of a political commissar, Clinton imposed a harsh regime of political correctness on the federal bureaucracy during his eight years in power. The Bush administration has been too reluctant to root out holdovers – both policies and people – from the Clinton administration. And so hyper sensitivity to the agendas of the "identity politics" lobbies in Washington has inhibited FBI Headquarters from pursuing legitimate investigative leads on potential terrorists. The Bureau was afraid to implement field agent Ken Williams’ recommendations for fear of being accused of racial or ethnic profiling. He urged the Bureau survey civil aviation schools to identify enrollment trends for middle eastern males. How politically incorrect can you get? Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta, another Clinton holdover, can’t imagine any circumstance that would justify ethnic or racial profiling in airport security screening. He is responsible for the huge waste of time and resources at our nation’s airports where grandmothers get the same treatment as Middle Eastern males. The FBI’s explanations of why it refused to seek a warrant to search Zacarias Moussaoui’s computer and personal effects are so lame that it seems more likely that it was afraid of being accused of racial or ethnic profiling. Another FBI whistleblower has come forward who seems to substantiate the debilitating impact of political correctness on the FBI’s campaign against terrorists groups in the U.S. The FBI is not the only federal agency hamstrung by these fears. The London Sunday Times has just published an exposé of conditions at the Guantanamo internment camp for Al-Qaeda and Taliban detainees. No, not of " harsh conditions." Just the contrary. The British paper reports that the camp has been converted into a virtual Club Med, where prisoners are transported in golf carts and allowed to mock, threaten and throw water on their American guards. If prisoners complain that these guards are too "rough", it is the guards who are removed. All this stems from the Pentagon’s hyper sensitivity to international criticisms and a stifling political correctness. There has been no follow up by the American media on this story, possibly because of its own role in promoting political correctness. During the Wen Ho Lee case, defense lawyers fed the media a steady stream of stories about how Lee was ethnically profiled and a victim of anti-Asian prejudice by government investigators. The Washington Post and others published the allegations as established fact. Careers and professional reputations were destroyed as a result. Consequently, federal law enforcement agencies became extremely gun-shy at even the hint of such allegations. The results of the political correctness campaign became plain to all on the morning of September 11. aim.org
