I've pretty much come to the conclusion pets aren't well suited for indoors. We've had 4 or 5 Canaries. They would last 6 months or a year, probably because the cage was hanging by a sliding glass door. They would get seeds everywhere. Have a 220-gallon aquarium sitting empty in the middle of the living room. Want to turn that into a terrarium maybe with African Violets. Nothing like seeing a 50 or 75 dollar fish go belly up. You can spend more, but that was about my limit. Still have a few cats thanks to my wife, but never again.
