An amazing "coincidence".
That's why responding to oil co.s, telcos, and government bureacracies with CONFRONTATION will show who has the real power: the US Consumer.

These bureacracies attempt to filter access by phone-menus, and all sorts of demands. You probably had to wait on the phone to reach a supervisor, etc.

The quickest way to change these bureacracies is with registered, return-receipt letters stating the problem and requiring response, addressed to their legal department. this costs $3, takes a few minutes to write, and causes all kinds of good things to happen.

If a couple million people did that with each of the non-responsive coercive entities, they would (a) have stories on the wire that couldn't be suppressed, and (b) start a dialog on how to change, as well as (c) officially lodge a complaint from you that can't be contemptuously dismissed.

Have you ever sent a note in your phone bill?
It is completely ignored, at least with SBC, no matter what the issue. They feel free to send you mail, demand payment, and ignore you both in the mail or endless phone-menus.

Send registered letters to every legally-responsible entity that attempts to grab your wallet.
