Speaking of teaching. I just opened my mail and found a lovely offer from the Mandalay Bay Resort in Vegas offering some lovely enticements to return to their wonderful resort. They fear that I may not have had the opportunity to experience it all, and would like to teach me further...<g>

For slow learners like myself, there are always a plethora of teachers ready to lend a hand...:-)

The most inspiring teachers at any age, are the ones who care enough about us to bring us in. Those teachers or professors who seem to care about our development. It is the same in life, isn't it?

The same phenomenon occurs in offices. Some managers have a sense of stewardship over their areas of responsibility and tend to develop their staffs. Others don't and I've guess that they have a more competitive rather than collaborative orientation. I learned to be the former from someone who was really good at it and who totally converted me to that preference, but I've seen good managers from both schools.
