But what I meant was, other than the recent Saudi proposal (btw which was not from the Palestinians), from the late 1880's, show me any other Islamic evidence that even begins to acknowledge Israel as a nation? I am giving you from the late 1880s up to the Saudi proposal to do so. Its an awful long time so you should be able to come up with a ton of evidence showing many, many different willing acknowledgements.

And I will provide evidence that the establishment of a Palestinian state in the occupied territories is only a first step in the total destruction of Israel. I'm sure you have heard of the Palestinian Phased Plan. The Saudi plan is in total contradiction of the PLO Charter and goals and the PLO Phased Plan, in acknowledging Israel as a nation. So do you want us to believe, all of a sudden, the Palestinians have decided to truly acknowledge Israel as a nation and abandon their charter, goals and plans? Or if you can be a bit objective, maybe you would consider them partaking in a Jihad of deception to accomplish the goals of the phased plan and totally destroy Israel, by supporting the Saudi plan?

The plan in brief:

A. Through the "armed struggle" (i.e., terrorism), to establish an "independent combatant national authority" over any territory that is "liberated" from Israeli rule. (Article 2)

B. To continue the struggle against Israel, using the territory of the national authority as a base of operations. (Article 4)

C. To provoke an all-out war in which Israel's Arab neighbors destroy it entirely ("liberate all Palestinian territory"). (Article 8)

My question was, "Did the PLO formally repeal at any time the following articles in regard to Israel as a nation?"

You said, "Yes".

OK, show me a current PLO charter with those articles missing. Additionally, show me a PLO map with Israel on it. Any Muslim map maybe? Lets also look at the following statements of the Palestinians and see if they reflect a people who has repealed those articles:

"The state of Israel was an outcome of the Second World War and should disappear, as the Berlin Wall has, along with the rest of the consequences of that war"

"Neither Arafat, Saleh Khalef [Abu Iyad], nor any other leader can cancel the charter, because it belongs to the PNC"

"We in the PLO do not accept the removal of Article 19 from our Charter"
[Abu Iyad quoted in Ukaz (Saudi Arabia), Jan. 23, 1989]

"The Palestinian people's struggle will continue until the complete liberation of the Palestinian land....The Palestinian people's struggle ought to be assisted until the complete liberation of Palestine from the [Jordan} River to the Sea."

"Even if the PLO succeeds in establishing a state in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, this would not prevent a continuation of the struggle until the liberation of all of Palestine...If we succeed in gaining part of Palestine upon which we will establish a state, we can later ask the world at large, while standing on Palestinian soil, to act so we may obtain our right and as a people...We are working to acheive what is possible in the present phase, and later we will demand more."

"The establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza will be the beginning of the downfall of the Zionist enterprise. We will be able to rely on this defeat in order to complete the struggle to realize our entire goal, which is the complete liberation of the national Palestinian soil."
[PFLP statement, Voice of the Mountain Radio (lebanon), June 9, 1989]

Does this statement tip us off to what will happen if Israel does give them a Palestinian state in the occupied territories? (Remember, Palestine to the Palestinian means ALL of Israel, not just occupied territories!)

"According to the Phased Plan, we will establish a Palestinian state on any part of Palestine that the enemy will retreat from. The Palestinian state will be a stage in our prolonged struggle for liberation of Palestine on all of its territory. We cannot acheive the strategic goal of a Palestinian state in all of Palestine without first establishing a Palestinian state [on part of it].

You also ask, "Has Israel ever repealed the articles in the World Zionist Organization calling for a Jewish state covering all of Palestine as well as Jordan?" Oh....thats an interesting one you choose to spin, as a good Muslim would. We will have to look at the Balfour Declaration of 1917 to understand why the WZO called for a Jewish state as defined.

The British Foreign Secretary, Arthur James Balfour, wrote to Jewish leader Lord Rothshild, to assure him that his government supported the ideal of providing a homeland for the Jews. The British hoped thereby to win more Jewish support for the Allies in the First World War. The "Balfour Declaration" became the basis for international support for the founding of the modern state of Israel. The letter was published a week later in The Times of London as reproduced here.

I should be grateful if you would bring this declaration to the knowledge of the Zionist Federation.

So Thomas, as you can see, it was Britain itself that had defined ALL of Palestine, including Jordan, to be occupied by the Jews. Palestine of 1917 included Jordan. That should explain to you why the WZO might have the idea Jordan was a part of Palestine, because the Balfour Declaration gave it to them!

Nice try though! So easily exposed with a little knowledge.
