I don't vacation in Kashmir. I prefer lighter, more durable and washable fabrics like cotton or, if it's cold, insulated gortex outerwear. Bring too many sweaters and such along and your luggage gets heavy. ;-)

Like tech stocks, the value of gold is based on one metric and only one metric -- supply and demand. Demand for tech stocks shows no signs of reversing from its descent into hell. Thre is a huge oversupply of tech stocks -- although bankruptcies will eventually dry up some of the supply. Gold shows no signs of giving up what could be a multiyear bull market.
