Holy sh*t this company sucks. Intel obviously did NOT lose market share to AMD. They probably gained. Those number are horrific and I don't know that AMD deserves a $2B market cap.

%-wise, this is one of the biggest warnings I've seen in a long, long time.

RE:"I'm glad I bought my Puts back yesterday!"

Good move Elmer, congrate.

I was trying to figured out but the extreme spread between Bid & Ask was killing me.

I will take a big drop here. I may consider roll them later to take tax lost in the current year for 2/3 of them.

Could AMD's losses approach $200Million??? I'm glad I bought my Puts back yesterday!

What you'll gain with AMD puts tomorrow, you'll
lose with Intel. You can be sure with Intel's previous
warning it will be going in the same direction as AMD
just not as bad percentage wise.

I got to admit the loses were greater than I thought.
Too many people waiting for Hammer?

John

edit: maybe not
AMD at 8.70 after hours

Elmer.
RE:"I'm glad I bought my Puts back yesterday!"

I remember you selling puts (long AMD, looking for 20 weren't you?) and being underwater. Glad you got out but you were just lucky and betting the wrong way.
The trend is not up...and yes...heading for single digits. These sharp rallies don't last more than a few days, this is typical of a bear market. Then reality sets in...chips sales are bad.

And they thought I was joking when I said AMD at 4 and Intel at 9...jeezz..
