>>>If we're gonna play with imagry let it be something like: Shorting the shorters might well be the best bet in Gotham.<<<

I guess I wrote the above prematurely, given Mary just came through with what probably is an excellent short list--lol!

Party, if you have some one selling a long position at 10 bucks, or shorting at 10 bucks and now the stock is at 1 buck, what is the difference?

>>> Actually, Party, I am very serious...

and will attempt to rephrase the thinking - you missed the gist of it - in a way that should not offend your sensibilities...

There is little doubt in my mind that Elgindy - in his shorting advisory capacity - has dealt with the powerful and the shady on a number of occasions... Certain Market Makers and Brokerages are allegedly under the direct influence of the Mafia, out for a quick buck with minimum risk... Rings a Bell?...

He himself has spelt out the make-up of the recipients of his shorting information...

Approximately 250-260 , Hedge Fund Managers and a few dozen Licensed professionals and Market makers Including Big **Wirehouses, They get better info hbere than from their own research Dept.

Could some of these people think he knows too much for their own good?... In my opinion, it's a very distinct possibility and I sincerely believe that he's probably safer where he is, out of potential harm's way...

Remember the 2 Broker/Dealers shot in the head, execution style, not so long ago?... Knew too much, is my guess...

JMHO, F. Goelo + + +

>>What I find amazing is that so many who live in the shorters' dens reside in a notion that the casual observer is supposed to merely treat Shorty and his sucker punch with only kid gloves.<<

What I find so amusing is the crass stupidity of some longs. They fall "in love" with a stock and can't understand why their honey is flawed. In fact they get down-right hostile to anyone that has the audacity to point out the flaws.

That is the same knee jerk reasoning as you posted above. It smacks of self-righteousness and either a lack of true intelligence or knowledge of stock.
