There have been games and calls like these in the past and no doubt there will be more like that...

Hard to play "what if's" at this point.

The reality remains that if one is to play a close game (such as Italy - Korea and all the games that will follow), I think the best a team can do is play all out in every game and attempt to win with ample margin, I acknowledge not every time possible.

Italy, seems at times to be on the brink of disaster... and in this cup, well... they never really played as winners or champions.... I mean, a 2 x 0 victory over Ecuador is all they had and that is not precisely a World Champion performance....

so... I suppose we'll sing an Opera in their honor and then wave them goodbye until Germany 2006 -g
