actually, wrt license recognition, it is Jeff Henley we are talking about. as noted in a prior post, i think Henley is among the best and most conservative CFOs around, not just in the Valley but period. while Ellison seems like a cowboy (due to his well-cultivated media personna) and the salespeople are as aggressive as any you will find, on the whole Oracle is a very well-run company and the numbers have always been clean
(and don't tell me about what happened in 1991; that was aeons ago and not a relevant data point any more).
