AMD is looking very sick. If there is some serious, unforeseen problem with Hammer, where would AMD turn? They seem to be falling farther and farther behind.

Assuming an eventual Flash recovery, AMD could make money there but like you said, the slightest additional delay on hammer and they are in a world of trouble and I think additional delays are probable.

I haven't been paying a lot of attention, what's their cash & debt situation?

Yahoo says they have about $1.25 Billion in cash. I don't know what their debt load is. Maybe someone will fill us in.

This is the time for Intel to give them the final push, sending them gently into that good night.

The upcoming price cuts and speed increases should do nicely.

Then CRUSH can finally be retired and the price cuts can be slowed for a few years.

John, Re: "what's their cash & debt situation?"

According to Yahoo, AMD's Debt/Equity ratio for the most recent quarter is 0.40 with total cash at $1.28B.

How high would you expect it to go after this quarter?
