I think it says in the post that it wasn't a membership drive. And yes mom and pop lose, they lost on the Internet, they lost on the tech, etc. etc. etc. I still stand by my original assessment, mom and pop should not trade stocks. There is too much speculation. Unless you keep up with it on a daily basis, the risks are to great. Mom and pop should stick to funds, but they are not doing so hot now either, but they will average out over 10 years or so.
