Bloomberg News noted that the decline in Martha Stewart Living stock has reduced Stewart's net worth by $117 million. Her 30.7 million Class A shares are now worth $462 million.

Dow Jones reported that a group including Kleiner Perkins Canfield & Byers and technology investor John Doerr pared its stake in Martha Stewart Living by 2 million shares to less than 1 percent, citing a Schedule 13G filed Tuesday with the SEC.

Stewart, a former stockbroker, has had a trying time lately, even before the controversy swirled around her. She has to contend with a deteriorating advertising climate and the bankruptcy of her retail partner, Kmart.
