I had pretty much pictured it as you have responded. I have no issue with that, Karen. Simply ruminating, as you are. I think it is debatable whether there is any increased risk from the git-go as regards hbp or heart disease, although kidney disease is another matter. My policy is to limit my salt where it does not inconvenience my enjoyment or taste, but otherwise to ignore it. I take herbs and vitamins which have proven effective against heart problems (vitamin e, flax seed oil, etc.), and I reduce my fat.
