Chris, perhaps you haven't noticed, but people record your comings and goings all the time now. When you walk out the gate, you are noticed. Hop in the SUV, noticed again. Out there in public, it's public.

Don't worry about the Orwellian fantasy. It's just a fantasy. If the 666 people want to track you, they can do that without you wearing a gpsOne device. They can put cameras everywhere and watch YOU. Watching a car is not the same thing as watching a person, despite the obsession some people have with a hunk of metal and their more careful treatment of it than their wives and children.

So, the government might follow cars everywhere. That's only a weak association with following a person. It would be good for helping to find evidence of crimes, but the fact that a vehicle went from one place to another wouldn't mean that somebody in particular was in it.

It's the man behind the curtain you have to watch out for. Don't worry about the computer watching your car.
