Put another way, AMD's warning was comparable in percentage size to Intel announcing a _loss_ of 2 billion dollars.

(For the doubters, do the math.)

This is why AMD is about to be taken out and crucified, which at least should make that Muslim guy claiming discrimination a bit happier.

Kap didn't say that. He said that AMD has a history of screwing over its shareholders. When times are good, no one cares because everyone wins, but when times are bad, Jerry and his cohorts make out like a bandit, leaving the shareholders high and dry.

Ten, Kap said AMD and Jerry almost in the same sentence, implying that the two are synonmous......which they are.

Remember 1999, when Atiq Raza said, "Profits are a good deodorant, but we stink"? (Just a quick search on this thread turned up this post of mine: Message 12175377 ) I think it's deja vu all over again. Interesting, no?

BTW you said the warning by INTC was a seasonal thing. That's not true......INTC couldn't meet its April guidance and the markets gave its a stock a haircut. And don't get me wrong.......I don't want to get into a flaming war but this is not your father's AMD from 5 years ago. <g>

AMD has vastly improved these past five years and the only reason INTC didn't have to cut more off their revenue guidance is because of DELL. If INTC didn't have DELL in its back pocket, and DELL bought from both companies, the guiding down by the two companies would be proportionate.

Having said that, tomorrow will suck and I thank my lucky stars the only tech I own right now is piglet TXCC which was so scared something bad was about to happen that it went down today instead waiting til tomorrow. LOL
