We discussed the Hersh New Yorker article in rather great detail when it was published, FL.

I guess I have forgotten, John. I'm surprised it was not posted on the thread but oh well...

I thought about this quick response last night and am not so certain. I know we discussed Hersh's sourcing and his reputation and I recall it being about two articles, the one on Kunduz and the second on the CIA drone which spotted Omar. The credibility of Hersh in both cases depends, in my view, on the credibility of his sources within the CIA. Since other stuff he's written on it, drawing, I assume, on these same sources, has proven out, I assumed it had at least that credibility.

Best I can do. Though, given the support that the Pakistani ISI had supplied for the Taliban over the years, I thought the story more likely to be true than not.
