Re; Ramp to 130NM will we completed in July. The factory is also building Hammer products."

I suppose that sounds pretty good.

The awful truth is, the next few weeks will probably be the best possible time to buy (because AMD's price is probably going to be close to cut in half - even from its current book value) yet no one will take advantage of it.

Those numbers were startling. When AMD's most expensive chip on pricewatch was $100, they did better.

Hammer still looks like it stands a good chance of taking over the PC CPU segment, and AMD is in far, far, better shape for the launch than it was for Athlon, but it's hard to be optimistic short term.

TGPTNDR, Re: "April sales down 20% from January. Desktop down 30%."

AMD's largest market is desktop. It would be hard to believe if their unit sales haven't been vastly reduced from last quarter. I am expecting 6.4M, down from 8M.
