The Fear Factor: In the few weeks I've been quantifying and charting this new measure of terrorism related news, the movements of The Fear Factor have been mirroring the movements of the Market Averages. This leads me to believe that it may be one of the primary drivers of Market movements, but not the only one. My Business Sentiment measures have shown a downtrend in the evaluation of business conditions based primarily on the scandals and bankruptcies associated with corporate dishonesty, so I agree re the relevance of that factor you cited.
